Programme working sessions and key milestones in the UK-CITF delivery programme. These are focused working events, not promotional showcases.

The UK Construction Industry Task Force convenes focused working meetings to share evidence, consider priorities and identify practical next steps across competence, building safety and industry collaboration.

Meetings are intended for construction professionals, employers, trade and sector bodies, policymakers, training providers, competence-assessment organisations and regional partners with an interest in the Task Force’s work.

All offers of support are well received.

The Task Force was established to bring clarity, collaboration, and practical action to some of the most persistent challenges facing the construction sector. It responds directly to the failures exposed by Grenfell and the ongoing difficulties created by the Building Safety Act implementation, particularly around Gateways 2 and 3.

This initiative exists to ensure that reform is informed by the full breadth of the industry—including SMEs, residents, and frontline practitioners who have historically been underrepresented in national decision-making.

The unique launch event in Westminster was held in the Wilson Suite at Portcullis House, one of the larger Select Committee rooms in the Parliamentary estate, on 20 November 2025 and brought together Parliamentarians, SMEs, industry leaders, residents, and technical specialists who share a commitment to improving safety, competence, culture, and public trust across the built environment.

Since the launch the Task Force has met at the RICS HQ off Parliament Square conveniently nearby for government officials to come each month.  These Sprints bring inspirational people together in common purpose.  Highly interactive, never dull, and invariably driving good work and good community support.
