A Construction Leadership Professional, as defined by ICM, is a distinguished and skilled individual who assumes a key role in shaping and ensuring the success of construction projects. These professionals embody the essence of leadership and expertise in a multifaceted industry.

The central purpose of a Construction Leadership Professional is to oversee, manage, and ensure the successful execution of construction projects. This role carries significant responsibilities, ranging from project planning and execution to safety compliance and stakeholder management. It's an all-encompassing position dedicated to the advancement of the construction industry and its various stakeholders.

Breadth and Coverage

ICM's core vision of a Construction Leadership Professional transcends traditional boundaries. These professionals are not limited by specific job titles or positions. Instead, they encompass all the statutory duty-holders within the construction process, as duly appointed by commissioning clients or their managing agents. This inclusiveness recognizes the interconnections of roles within the industry.

Our Commitment

ICM is committed to advancing the careers and expertise of Construction Leadership Professionals. As the construction industry has started its transition into the new landscape of compliance 2023++ now that The Building Safety Act 2022 has been fully implemented, the ICM is moving to offer specialized programs, appropriate certifications, and resources tailored to empower these professionals in their multifaceted roles.

The ICM will set up a pan-industry initiative in wide collaboration to define the requirements, benefits, and distinctions of being a Certified Construction Leadership Professional ™ and to be registered and duly licensed to use the protected badge CCLP™ as a distinguishing mark of quality and excellence.

Our commitment to our existing ICM Members and Fellows is that during the currency of their continuing membership and, having paid the current appropriate membership subscription and submitted an appropriate record of CPD to the Membership Secretary for which approval must be obtained, they may then elect to use and display the protected description Certified Construction Leadership Professional and use the brand logo on documents and sign-boards
