The ICM is an open sharing collaborating professional body exploring the potential of the new era of emerging digital tools such as VR [Virtual Reality] and AI [Artificial Intelligence] ─ the ICM intends to explore with data scientists connected with The Alan Turing Institute for the creation of a pilot project to create interconnected Local Learning Hubs for the construction sector and all its diverse parts bringing together students of all levels with industry at all levels to provide immersive learning experiences ─ discovery of what 'good' looks like ─ and understanding what 'bad' looks like too! ─ and competently being able to prove how to define safe systems building trust!

ICM is setting to revolutionize the way that construction management is taught, giving students access to the latest technologies and available machine readable giving them every chance to develop their skills and knowledge in an exciting, interactive and immersive environment.

At the heart is open collaboration between industry and academia - using incredible technology typically as is demonstrated in XR Lab, which is a state-of-the-art facility that utilizes the latest in virtual reality and augmented reality technology to provide students with a unique learning experience. This lab allows students to explore and experience real-life construction projects in a virtual world, enabling them to gain an understanding of the complexities of the industry and familiarize themselves with the tools and techniques used in the construction process.  ICM has visited and met with Eastern College Group in 2023 - a testament to the commitment of both organisations to providing students with the best possible education going forward.  Further visits are planned through 2024 maintaining the promotion ...

Students will have access to the latest technology and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a safe and secure environment ─ in time, ICM plans to develop ways to utilise this emerging new technology to enable existing trade operatives and professionals to gain valuable insights.

The XR Lab complex at West Suffolk College has extensive associated tech teaching facilities for such as coding and deep understanding of the future - particularly state-of-the-art 3D 'green studio' media production and advanced avatar and motion data capture etc. ... the ICM team were excited to be able to see and interface with students developing  their multi-media skills in a direct industry integration and shared experiences opening to meaningful work opportunities ...
