Exciting news! ~ ICM collaboration for 2026++

ICM realise collaboration is a powerful force for good in the world, enabling multiple parties to work together in order to achieve greater results than they would have been able to do on their own.

On the 20th October 2025 the ICM led and hosted a unique historic event in the heart of the UK Parliamentary Estate ─ the launch of the UL Construction Industry Task Force ─ established to bring clarity, collaboration, and practical action to some of the most persistent challenges facing the construction sector. It responds directly to the failures exposed by Grenfell and the ongoing difficulties created by the Building Safety Act implementation, particularly around Gateways 2 and 3.

This initiative exists to ensure that reform is informed by the full breadth of the industry—including SMEs, residents, and frontline practitioners who have historically been underrepresented in national decision-making.

The launch event on 20 November 2025 brought together Parliamentarians, SMEs, industry leaders, residents, and technical specialists who share a commitment to improving safety, competence, culture, and public trust across the built environment.

The ICM mission is clear ─ to facilitate and support the creation of a credible, collaborative, and action-focused platform that connects SMEs, residents, practitioners, industry leaders, and Parliament to drive meaningful improvements across the UK construction sector.

This mission recognises the Task Force's role as a bridge—connecting real-world experience with policy influence, and ensuring that those who have historically been underrepresented finally have a consistent, structured voice.
